The Saturdays’ Higher wins Popjustice’s Twenty Quid Music Prize!
Yesterday night in a London pub, a crowd of music industry and pop fans gathered to decide the winner of the best pop song released between July 2010 and July 2011 – and The Saturdays’ Higher emerged triumphant!
In the annual Popjustice Twenty Quid Music Prize Judging Ceremony, ‘Higher’ was voted the best song of the 12-month period. The song beat stiff competition from a strong shortlist including Nicola Roberts’ ‘Beat of My Drum’, Take That’s ‘The Flood’, Yasmin’s ‘Finish Line’, Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and The Wanted’s ‘All Time Low’. “SO excited to hear we’ve won the @Popjustice #twentyquid music prize for ‘Higher’. Where’s our 20 quid? We fancy kebabs after the GQ awards.”
